Maybe they don't want to make decisions in haste,and a post match analysis can actually judge better on who offended whom.
Also this surely is a brilliant idea to curb sledging.it surely shall reduce verbal talks and make players concentrate more on their cricket.

I'm not sure whether it was televised here as I didn't even know it was only until afterwards. I was surprised to hear that only the captains were at the opening ceremony.
