Rules of ICC World Cup 2015

Cricket is played with bat and ball between two teams of 11 players each. One team does the fielding on the ground while the other team does the batting. It is played on a long rectangular pitch of 22 yards in the middle of a large ground. Each team take turns to bat and field. Each turn is known as the innings.

The bowling side delivers the balls while the bating side strikes the ball and makes run. A batsman continues to bat until he is out. The batting team continues to bat until all its ten players are out, or they reach a specified numbers of overs. Each over has six balls to be delivered.

International Cricket Council (ICC) is the body which monitors the game. It organizes a world Cup after every 4 years; in which all the international teams participate.
