If only the English would mind their own cricketing business which is slowing rotting than constantly bashing the West Indies. I guess it is nothing new because throughout history that is all the English ever did.

I would have agreed with Mr. Berry (re: Shiv retiring long ago) if the Wondies were a winning team. On a winning team his place in the side (at age 40) would be redundant and prohibitive.
But on this losing Wondies Test team his place in the side is invaluable. He brings a lot of experience, stability, and class to a mediocre team.
I do think however he should call it a day on this Test career after he breaks Lara's record. He will always get a contract in England so employment will be available elsewhere post retirement from international cricket.

I learnt a lot from looking at Alvin Kallicharran’s technique. Rohan Kanhai corrected a few flaws I had earlier in my batting technique, and I will never forget the advice he gave me. He really knows the game, and can impart a lot of knowledge to many young cricketers. I also think he is a batting genius.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
