Australian seam bowler Jackson Bird has not given up hope of playing some part in the Ashes tour this summer.

I am looking forward to seeing how Bird fares with Hampshire this summer as Kyle Abbott's replacement. Australia sure do have a wealth of fast bowlers to choose from.

Bird's still yet to make his debut for Hampshire as he has been struggling with a shoulder injury. He might be a long shot to make the Ashes squad at this point.
