This summer has seen a vast array of success for Australian Cricket that has been intertwined with just as much, if not more, emotion - From Phillip Hughes' tragic death in November right before the beginning of the Test Series with India, to Michael Clarke' courageous captains knock at Adelaide and near career ending injury at the same ground, then Steve Smith's coming of age as the next Australian Cricket Captain and the series victory over India, to the ups and downs of the Cricket World Cup and Australia's victory on the back of Mitchell Starc's near perfect tournament performance, and then finally to the tragic passing of the Voice of the Australian Summer, Richie Benaud.

It was a Summer of Success bookmarked by the passing of two well known figures of the Sport in Australia - one a personification of the future of Australian Cricket, the other a Stalwart that ranked amongst the most widely recognised & loved figure of its past.

I don't know about you, but it will be hard for me to forget this summer of Cricket and all that has happened.

It really has been unforgettable. Can't remember a more emotional few months as a cricket fan, both good and bad.

Phil Hughes death : no one changed their helmet to the new cover area (maybe Sangakkara)

Michael Clarke : Unfair advantage to have a steroid shoot up guy on a Field of Play: ICC should really crack down !

Steve Smith : got in as a Bowler and failed, 2nd coming as a Bat : purple patch will soon change colour !

Starc is a home made bread ....wait on the Caribbean pitches!

BandP : there is nothing really to boast about : Guess its how one look at it    ;D

Great summer for Oz and richly deserved.

Sad re Richie Benaud but it's a fate that awaits all of us and he lived and along and memorable life.
