Anderson to Chanderpaul, OUT, oh goodness, what a catch on the juggle! Anderson finds the edge as Chanderpaul prods forward, the edge goes to Bell at second slip, at waist height, who parries it up in the air - he should have caught it - and Cook manages to grab the rebound, himself at the second attempt, flinging himself backwards and to his right at first slip. Superb reflex from the captain, huge moment
S Chanderpaul c Cook b Anderson 7 (16b 1x4 0x6) SR: 43.75

SHIV'S STATS:
HERE'S THE BAD NEWS ---SHIV'S LAST 9 TEST SCORES
21, 4, 7, 9, 50, 46, 13, 1, 7 = 158 runs = 17.55 average

CHECK THIS:
* Shiv's test average has dropped to 51.71---he was averaging 53.11 only 6 tests ago.
* Now! If Shiv's test average were in danger of dipping below 50 I would yell and scream for him to be dropped immediately.
* But Shiv's 50+ test average is safe and so the selectors should play him in Barbados, and then as a bonus in recognition of his long service to WI cricket he should be allowed 2 more tests versus Australia----he'll then retire.
* SO SHIV SHOULD PLAY 3 MORE TESTS---1 versus England and 2 versus Australia.
RE: SHIV'S NUMBERS
* If Shiv scores 6 ducks in his remaining 3 tests----his test average will drop to 50.39
* A 50+ test average = statistical greatness.
* Shiv would have had a great test career.

QUESTION:
Will Clive Lloyd and his selection panel drop the longest serving WI test cricketer, Shiv Chanderpaul, after the Barbados test or will they have a talk with him and ask him to announce his retirement against Australia ?
* Lemme be quite blunt----Shiv does not deserve to be in the WI team with these low scores: 21, 4, 7, 9, 46, 13, 1, 7
* But given his long service he deserves to be given a chance to announce his retirement.
WORD TO SHIV:
* Announce to the world that you would like to retire at the end of the Australia series.

* Shiv is a stubborn man.
* He still believes he has the goods.
* BUT THE NUMBERS DON'T LIE----21, 4, 7, 9, 50, 46, 13, 1, 7 --his last 9 test innings.
* Shiv should be told by the WICB to announce his retirement either in Barbados or against Australia----then he'll be given a nice send off by the fans.
