OK Folks:

* I have noticed nearly everybody has written off the great man.

* Well, the contrarian in me tells me that when nearly everyone agrees on something---they are apt to be wrong.

* We all know the great man is not a quitter. We also know he has been a fighter all his cricket life.

* I am starting to have a feeling the great man will shock the cricket world in June against the #2 ranked Aussies.

* I wouldn't be surprised to see the great man score 1 more test hundred.

* I won't be surprised to see him get one more NOT OUT.

* And I won't be surprised to see him become the 6th batsman in history to reach 12K runs in tests.

* Once again, the contrarian in the Rev signals that with nearly everybody writing off the great man---they are apt to be dead wrong.

* What do you good folks think ?

far from done

Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

It's extremely hard to say if he's washed up or not.

On one hand, Shiv has a history of failing five or six games and then coming back big. He also played well vs the Aussies last time he faced them.

On the other hand, he looks out of touch, slower and has been getting out weirdly.

It's really hard to predict how he will perform. For me, it's a 50/50 gamble; it can go either way.

Shiv says he is determined to be the 6th batsman in  history to reach 12,000 test runs and will not announce his retirement until that goal is achieved.

shive has to start scoring..even a 25 out of a 50-70-80 partnership that occupies a couple of hours..an hour and a half and stops a rot would do

* Wasn't Shiv the 2nd highest scorer in the first innings of the Barbados test against England which the WI won ?

Backwood 85---top score
Shiv          25 --2nd highest scorer

* I rather suspect Shiv has been told to announce his retirement and the WICB will give him a farewell test----but Shiv feels he still has some cricket left in him so he is refusing to announce his retirement.

* That means Shiv will likely be dropped just like he was in onedayers.
