Trinidad and Tobago, the Windward Islands and Jamaica will all be in the running for the West Indies Cricket Board Regional Under-17 title when the final round of the 50-over competition bowls off today in Tobago.
The hosts, led by Kirstan Kallicharan, are currently second on the standings with 19.1 points, just 0.3 points behind leaders Jamaica, while third place Windwards are in third on 18.1.
T&T face Guyana today at Mount Pleasant while the Windward face last placed Leeward Islands at Canaan Ground and defending champions Barbados square off against the leaders at Shaw Park. The Leewards have lost all their matches so far in the competition.
Teams earn six points for a win and an extra 0.1 bonus point for every wicket taken by a fast bowler and bonus points could be the deciding factor in the title race.
T&T have some good pacers in Sachin Secharan, Te-Shawn Alleyne and Quammie Mohammed and they will have to come good against the Guyanese if T&T are to lift the U-17 title for the first time since 2013 when they came from behind to take the crown in the final round of the competition.
All matches bowl off at 10 a.m.
