The iconic Eden Gardens, where the final of the 1987 Reliance World Cup was staged, will host the final of the World Twenty20 on April 3, 2016, the Board of Control for Cricket in India announced on Tuesday (July 21).
Matches during the World T20, to be staged between March 11 and April 3, will also be held in Bangalore, Chennai, Dharamsala, Mohali, Mumbai, Nagpur and New Delhi, making it the first time that matches in a single edition of the World T20 will be held in as many as eight venues.
