Just a quick look at the scorecard shows Somerset opted to go with a very inexperienced bowling attack and leaving both the Overton brothers on the sidelines.

Amir and Yasir Shah are going to be a real handful for England this summer. They could cause some serious damage for a batting lineup that has a number of holes and question marks.

How James Hildreth has been overlooked all these years for England is beyond me. A top class batsman, who is deserving of an England call up at some point.

That delivery that accounted for Marcus Trescothick, a beauty on off stump

that demanded a stroke before swinging away late to take the edge of his bat,

would have troubled any left-handed batsman in any era !!
