What impresses me is that when Root bat's, he doesn't actually ever look like he's stretching himself too much. His batting style is pretty relaxed and he makes it look like scoring a double century in a test match is something that anyone can do.

The only thing that can maybe stop him from going on and becoming one of the greats, is maybe the English press and media putting too much pressure on him as we have tended to do in the past, but hopefully those lessons will have been learned and he can carry on progressing like he is doing long into the future.
