George Headley against England in Jamaica in January 1954, was the oldest at 44.
CA Wiles played against England in Manchester in July 1933 at 40,
LR Gibbs played against Australia at Melbourne in January 1976 at 41
N Betancourt played against England in Port of Spain in February 1930 at 42
Clive Lloyd played his last Test against Australia at Sydney in December 1984 at 40.

Thanks for sharing that article, ketch. The article mentioned Greenidge who actually turned 40 on the 4th (and what turned out to be final) day of the Test vs Australia. So we can add him to the list, making it 9.

Of the 9, Gibbs (13) played the most matches after turning 40. Shiv played 8, Clive Lloyd 5 and George Challenor 2. The other 5 all played in just the 1 Test after their 40th birthday.
