Australian strokemaker Aaron Finch will be charged with powering up Surrey's batting in the NatWest T20 Blast next season.

The 30-year-old Australian is available for the whole tournament and will then provide cover for Kumar Sangakkara in first-class cricket when the Sri Lankan heads to the West Indies for the Caribbean Premier League.

Surrey's director of cricket Alec Stewart described Finch as "one of the most destructive batsmen in world cricket" and added: "He had a positive impact on and off the field last summer."
