These kids have good balance but have yet to develop a good eye to foot coordination. Starting training at this age is quite good as the kids will internalise the ropes better. A good place to start is continuous cricket which involves a minimum of 3 players. A larz ball should be used which is heavier than a tennis ball to familiarise them to the real thing. To prevent intimidation, those who outshine others should be moved to older groups.
