What I love about Mayers and Bonner's match winning performances is that in addition to propelling WI towards winning the match, it puts Hetty, Bravo, Chase et al on notice that they can't assume that they will walk back into the West Indies team when the next Test series rolls around and might give them more pause for thought about opting out of another series. They will have to produce better than average scores to dislodge the incumbents, and competition for places can only lead to good things for West Indies cricket.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

No matter which team you support, you have to appreciate what Kyle Mayers did today.

To score a double century in a Test match on a pitch you didn’t know about, against a three-man spin attack with fielders all around you, and all this on your debut.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
