Singh, Foster are CWI directors

PRESIDENT and Vice President of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB), Bissondyal Singh and Hilbert foster, are the two new Guyanese directors on the Cricket West Indies (CWI) Board.
The duo was confirmed yesterday afternoon following the Annual General Meeting (AGM) when Ricky Skerritt and Dr Kishore Shallow were re-elected unopposed to the posts of President and Vice President respectively. Singh is also the Demerara Cricket Board (DCB) president while Foster is the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) president
Foster, who spoke exclusively to Chronicle Sport, said he intends to use this new post for the development of West Indies cricket.

“I am humbled to serve in that capacity and as I have always done. I will give of my best to represent Guyana’s interest at the CWI but with the understanding that this new role is for the overall development of cricket,” Foster said. The other CWI directors include Conde Riley (Barbados Cricket Association), Calvin Hope (Barbados Cricket Association), Wilford Heaven (Jamaica Cricket Association), Dr Donovan Bennett (Jamaica Cricket Association), Enoch Lewis (Leeward Islands Cricket Board), Leon Rodney (Leeward Islands Cricket Board), Azim Bassarath (Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board), Arjoon Ramlal (Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board), Julian Charles (Windward Islands Cricket Board) and Dwain Gill (Windward Islands Cricket Board).
