Blackwood is one of the better batters. As is Chase. Neither should ever have been dropped. You don't develop players by picking, dropping, picking while the favored are given chance after chance (Powell, for example). In fact, while I'm also peeved at them I still believe both Mayers and Bonner should be kept for a while more. I believe Bravo has come to the end of his rope. Sadly CWI is responsible for the disintegration of this once fab potential. Hope I also support for a while longer. But Powell no longer. Nor Warrican. If Big Rakh is in future plans he must be given more playing time and personally I think he deserves same. Hety must be brought back. Pooran and Lewis deserve their opportunities. The argument that they have no experience in four day matches is wearing thin. Let's have some healthy competition for places.

Agreed completely. Powell is a proven failure, and I imagine the only reason he was brought back is because he has some experience opening. A big mistake in my opinion.

Mayers is looking more and more like a fluke - his double century was vs Bangladesh I believe - but I agree that he and Bonner should be given a few more games.

I'd like Hetmeyer and Pooran on the test team, though I'd trust none of them to bat at number 3.

Hope has repeatedly failed in Tests, but I'd keep persisting with him. He's perfected his ODI game, and maybe he'll slowly sort his Test game out as well.
