On August 15th 1964 Fred Trueman became the first bowler to take 300 Test wickets in the 5th Ashes Test at The Oval. The 33-year-old was nearing the end of his England career but in a spell of 4 for 5 (4 for 87 overall) he removed Neil Hawke to bring up his 300
