$500,000 missing from TTCB funds

Fraud Squad detectives have expanded their investigation into more than $500,000 in missing funds at the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) over the past three years.

Documents obtained by the Sunday Express show a long history of questionable financial management at the TTCB which also failed to set up a compliance committee to ensure financial shortcomings and other queries are addressed promptly.

In addition, minutes of an emergency meeting held by the TTCB after the fraud was discovered in October reveal that some TTCB members wanted to keep the fraudulent activity under wraps and out of the hands of the authorities because they believed it would harm the reputation of the organisation.
