Former West Indies all-rounder and captain of Antigua and Barbuda, Rahkeem Cornwall, has stepped down as captain of the Leeward Islands Hurricanes.
Cornwall made the revelation following Antigua and Barbuda’s second place finish to champions St Kitts in the recently held Leeward Islands Cricket Board Mixed Tournament, which climaxed in St Kitts on Saturday, citing that although he will fully support his successor in the role, he wants to be able to channel all of his attention towards his personal performances moving forward.
Reports indicate that West Indies fast bowler Alzarri Joseph will lead the team during the Cricket West Indies (CWI) CG United Super 50 Cup and that eight Antigua and Barbuda players were selected in the Leeward Islands squad for the tournament which bowls off in Trinidad on November 19.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
