Double centuries are rare

DOUBLE CENTURIES IN CRICKET ARE RARE ACHIEVEMENTS.
Amir Jangoo has become the 4th Trinbagonian to score a Test double century, behind Clifford Roach who scored the first, Brian Lara and Darren Bravo.
Among Trinbagonians who have scored first class double hundreds, only Brian Lara with 13 and Jeff Stollmeyer with 5, have more than his 3 which has equaled Lendl Simmons 3 doubles in first class cricket. It is noteworthy that Jeff Stollmeyer does not have a test double century despite having 5 in FC cricket nor Lendl Simmons among his 3 in FC.
Larry Gomes, who many consider our most celebrated test batter after Lara, has 1 first class double and none in tests.Darren Bravo only double century came in a test match vs New Zealand in 2013. Joey Carew and Charlie Davis never scored double centuries in their first class career.
