Henderson Springer will also assist in the delivery of the spin bowling module; while Jeffrey Dujon will assist with the wicketkeeping module.
The 8-day Level 3 programme is a joint initiative of Cricket West Indies (CWI) and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
Gray said, “I am happy to be part of this exercise because I am fiercely loyal to West Indies cricket. I give it my all as a player and now I am trying to do the same as a coach. I have already gotten past level 3 and as a matter of fact I have been invited to try for my level 4 which is the highest level in the game.
“CWI in my opinion continues to do very good work in terms of organizing these exercises for the regional coaches and they must be commended.
I have been asked to participate on Friday and speak on what made West Indian fast bowlers so great. The guys who structured this programme said it would be great to hear about the greatness and what created that for our fast bowlers. It is great to see so many guys reach the Level 3 and this augurs well for West Indies cricket.”
Among the participants in the coaching programme are Curtly Ambrose, Pedro Collins, Andrew Richardson and David Bernard Jr.
The programme is being presented by Lead Tutor, Tim Dellor and his team from the ECB at the Coolidge Cricket Ground.
