Well feck ratings for a second. Not that they're unimportant - but we know clearly that Bangladesh without their best player and two debutants are massively below WI.

Love Shiv - don't get me wrong - but the thread is bit of an overkill. Brathwaite made a double ton, both Gayle and Bravo made fifties. The pitch is batting friendly. I don't know what's that big deal about making a fifty against them?

I mean at least wait till he gets to his ton FFS (which hopefully he will) - then you have a much better case against Shiv haters surely?

I don't understand the hate towards him. Why people hate him even when he is in supreme form right now? He seems to be dong fine to me.

The thing is, 90 percent of the people on this thread didn't watch Shiv's innings.

I watched the whole, painful thing. That wasn't good batting. It was just needless blocking and poking. It will be interesting to see if his approach changes today.

And this is why I asked if the Bangla's bowling was brilliant.

My comments has nothing to do with the Man and his accomplishments, as I am an admirer, but if you are batting against the worst test team and you have a strike rate of 29 then that is not good for the team, is it?

Perhaps he can pick it up today but I do not want to see Tiger fall disgracefully. I suppose those of us who have enjoyed Shiv over the years have become used to a certain standard.

This is a team sport after all....
