Well done to Blackwood and good to see him pushing on after reaching his half century. This is what the West Indies top order needs to do on with consistency and not getting out after getting starts.
Quote:Ben Stokes hit back at criticism he received on Twitter after his no-ball cost England a wicket against West Indies.
Stokes thought he had claimed his 23rd Test wicket when Jermaine Blackwood (21) edged his short delivery for a simple slip catch, which would have reduced the Windies to 133 for five.
But the all-rounder’s front foot was well over the line and the umpire awarded the batsman a reprieve. Stokes took to social media to reply to the abuse, posting: “Tweets about the no-ball flooding in, so tomorrow I won’t try, bowl 4 foot behind the line and bowl 70mph... then you’re all happy.â€
Moments later the 23-year-old added: “Unfortunately when trying hard you can get tight on the line...apologies people, will try to make it up tomorrow.†
