1st Test: West Indies v England at North Sound

Brilliant Test saving knock from Holder. This ones slipped away from England but full credit to the fight shown by Ramdin, Holder and now Roach to hold on. It was always going to be hard to bowl a team out twice on this wicket.

Brilliant knock by Jason Holder.

Will long be remembered by West Indians.

Will LONG be remembered by ENGLAND

he is only 23 : England commentators will refer to this Knock :

SURRENDER !!

129.4
Anderson to Roach, full and swerving in late, Roach is struck on the pads and there's an appeal - but it was doing too much.

And that will be it, because there are only two legitimate balls left and England need three wickets.

Alastair Cook SURRENDERS  West Indies have salvaged a memorable draw,

Jason Holder the hero, with support from his captain, Denesh Ramdin !!!

sweet.  I went fuh my walk.  I could not resist my walk in the sun this beautiful day.  I come back to great news

I love to be right.  I have been arguing for at least a whole year now that Holder is a batsman in a fast bowlers frame

Same island, different ground, same result

Six years ago West Indies defied England nine down at the Recreation Ground in Antigua :

after the Test was shifted due to the dangerous outfield at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium,

with Darren Powell and Fidel Edwards surviving 10 tension-filled overs on the historic ground.

Okay , I can now relax and enjoy a perfect Day : We WIN  ::LOL::

This was a good, enjoyable test match and West Indies were spirited in gaining a draw thanks to the Ramdin Holder partnership and congratulations to the young man for achieving his first first class ton.

England will be very disappointed with this result as it was theirs to win, however that pitch had no demons and application was required.

On West Indies side they would want to look at having Bishoo in the team as he also offers batting abilities and not a liability in the field. They should also look at Samuels as he has been a spent force for some time now but Lloyd seems to think he is exceptional.

We need to ensure the top 4 is settled. Not a Ballance fan but he will not be dropped now. Sadly I would drop Trott and have Lyth, who is a specialist opener unlike Trott, open with Cook.

Of course I would have Rashid in as he, like Bishoo, could be a potential match winner.

The West Indies will take a lot more out of this match than we would as this Anderson landmark seemed to preoccupy everyone.

My team for the third test would be

1.    Lyth
2.    Cooky
3.    Ballance
4.    Belly
5.    Root
6.    Mo
7.    Jos
8.    Rashid
9.    Stokes
10.  Broad
11.  Anderson

I agree with starting Lyth over Trott although I expect the selectors will stick with Trott for at least one more start. The opening pair is a major problem that needs fixing and quickly. We can't keep losing two wickets inside the first 10 overs and expect to win many games.

Do you think Stokes showed enough with the ball to be selected over Jordan? I'd be afraid of using Stokes as the third seamer. Obviously Stokes provides a better bat but if you have Moeen at 6 and Jos at 7, I'd prefer to start Jordan who offered more with the ball and his two catches speak for themselves.

Ultimately, I expect the only change we will see for the Grenada Test is Moeen in for Tredders.

Hahaha
