Stumps, day 1

There surely will come a point in the future where Australia, India & England realise that only trying to create narratives amongst themselves will lose fans

Imagine WI lenged down England this summer & the response to that was no tour of Caribbean in next 4 yr cycle

To confirm, the only time between now and 2027 that West Indies play a 3-Test series is one series away vs England in July 2024

Everything else is 2 Test and lacking narrative as a result.

You lose the 1st Test and the series is over, you can't win it

What is the point of the ICC though?

No promotion/relegation

No real desire to grow the game

Claiming T20 leagues are an issue but doing nothing to actually address the issue

Decimated their own 'purest' form to two test series for everyone except their favs

This is why Kraigg Brathwaite will be the last West Indian player to not play T20 Cricket

Tage Chanderpaul prob looking at that 2023 Test schedule and thinking bai I need to try make Amazon Warriors CPL team or my year is looking empty

Our regional season usually concludes in May/June, so after the India series in July, that's the last red-ball cricket our players will see for 2023

We will then have to tour Australia in January 2024 for Tests and try to compete against this backdrop
