Mrs. Ramoutar was a simple housewife that has suddenly been put into the limelight. I daresay that the way she speaks will get better with time ... her beauty right now is that she is being herself and not putting on a show for anyone.
Class is not buying beautiful clothes and wearing makeup ....

LOL, I do admit that she did not handle the interview well at all .. a lot of it is due to nervousness I think. I really think that Tanuja was too much in a hurry to interview the lady, and even more too much in a hurry to post the video on youtube, or wherever.

I agree. We in the "uppidy" Great White North are judging her by standards which are somewhat unfair.
However, with respect to appearance, the interviewer ought to have suggested to the First Lady, a day or two before the interview, that it would be posted online for a world wide audience to view and hence the cue to wear professional clothing and make up. Also the choice of lighting was very poor.
With respect to her speech and her creolese accent. There is nothing in my view which was embarrassing given that this is the way 98% of the population speaks. Indeed, she is not the President and it is not incumbent on her to speak eloquently or with a fake British or American accent.
So yes Mes - Kudos to the First Lady for keeping it real. :yeti: Who don't like it go suck salt. ::lol::
