{we lost power a while ago.  it just came back.  its a mess out here}

EARTH MOTION - PRECESSION OF THE EQUINOXES - 2

its tht tilt alright.  here is a sense of it but I this diagram is wrong relative the sun.

it is not wrong about the tilt and true north and the ecliptic north which is the tilt..about 23 and 1/3 degrees.

see the spinning top-like motion of the earth as it precesses around the true north  or the background of the star constellations.  the earth is circling the sun but is circling itself very slowly around the true north while tilted.  true north is the imaginary pole heading straight north.

that precession around true north takes 25k plus years to complete...divided by 12 is approx 2,160 years which is a month in the zodiac

what the ancient astronomers did was to build stories into those sections of the time it took to complete the great year..stories that had to do with their life at the time..as the earth precessed into star clusters.constellations in the background...stars and their symbols as the symbols of an age which we now have as the zodiac

in the early 2040's? the earth will precess into the aquarian star constellation and we will emerge into the age of aquarius, the water carrier...the archetypical symbol for the new age.....

that is as I remember it.....there is much more to it of course...

the fact is that there is not enough time in Greek chronology for the Greeks to have achieved the "precession". they got it form Egypt and took it for themselves.....

Greece is not a location favourable to star gazing and astronomy with the naked eye.  Egypt and great lakes Afica is.  and there you have the length of human habitation and and civilised activity to have produced the Zodiac/Great year

Maps I recommend that you read 'Fingerprints of the Gods "by Graham Hancock.
It gives the p recession of the equinoxes from a metaphysical angle.. Remember reading that book in the early 90ies

excellent post Kwami..brilliant, timely..absolutely necessary to popularise a view like this.  and by that I mean his approach, questioning in the face of the total crisis we are in the middle of

at this point I need this less that most here on this board and lots of people I know who refuse to open up embedded in the old unsatisfactory way of seeing life

the discrepancy between Velikovsky and Hancock seems chronological.  but Hancock poses that catastrophy motivated his mythical race of humans to have developed the type of building as we see in Giza and in Bolivia.

well there was this in the human past that is now well established reasoning.  but this is calculated to have happened in human time.  Hancock places his surmises outside of human time..back to some previous occupation of earth by people we do not know..at least as yet according to hancock
