For every Damian Clairmont there are dozens of Abdel-Fattah's.
"For example, Abdel-Fattah’s path actually began as a quest to reinforce his faith with knowledge. “When I started university in the 1980s, I realised that I was very knowledgeable about lots of things, except my own religion. So I decided that I was going to delve deep into it and be as expert as possible,†he told me in a noisy watering hole in upscale Zamalek, where philosophy seemed to be the last thing on the punters’ minds.
Instead of confirming and reaffirming his faith, this exercise, Abdel-Fattah admits, gave him “the shock of my life.†At school, he’d been given to believe that the prophet Muhammad was some kind of angel, and his companions were like saints.
But the picture Abdel-Fattah assembled over years of study proved to be very different: the founding fathers and mothers of Islam were very human, for the most part cynically political, motivated by self-interest and riven by infighting, jealousy and overriding ambition, he concluded."

Expect to see more apostates being sentenced to death in the coming years in Muslim countries. It's a tide they can't push back however.

France’s interior minister, Bernard Cazeneuve, promoting legislation to address the problem,
said on Tuesday that the number of French citizens who had traveled to fight in the region,
or planned to travel there, had grown 74 percent this year :
to about 1,000. About 350 French citizens are currently on the ground there, he estimated,
including 60 women.

Social Media via The Internet :
" One of the guys from our Facbook DIE "
Three researchers in a basement at Kings College, London, have tracked and analysed the torrent
