Snoop, how much religious teaching/training have you had? And why are you so vehemently anti-religion. Atheists are fine...it is also a belief in non-believing.
Rationally, you must have reached that conclusion after carefully exploring the fallacies of religion, I am sure.

You are wrong on every single count. If you want, create a separate thread where we can debate/discuss this fallacy at length and over the next days, weeks and months.
But to borrow the words from one of my favourite secular writer Christopher Hitchens, "Religion Poisons Everything". That is my premise for the discussion.

Snoopy, actually I question where in the above post I am wrong.
We can go through each statement individually. And if you can correct me I would appreciate it. We can always learn from our mistakes.

I stated, every single count.
But your statement reeks of the daily babble I hear from political apologists on the nightly news careful not to further offend members of the un-offendable religion. This babble about "not all religious people are bad" that "its only a small member of the religion who are extremists" "they don't represent all Muslims".

Again, you are not addressing the point. Which statement?
I am not an apologist...I am a realist. I live in a world where everyone co-exists in a space and time, trying to understand what this life is all about. We see good and we say good. When we see bad, we say bad. And when they are wrong you address that wrong, you don't condemn everyone they are associated with.

I am not naive to suggest that Islam is without problems. In fact as a religion they have the most explosive issue of the day. No pun intended. But that is something they will have to deal with on their terms. And the modern world will have to understand that these people live by a different edict. Ultimately they will have to determine if Islam, as practiced in the ME, is compatible with their lives today.
