Thank God Justice was delivered. Lots of praise for Simone De Nobrega who braved her own skeletons to deliver a telling blow to the defense dream team. She provided the vital link in this hideous crime which otherwise was purely circumstantial and could have gone unpunished.
With a battery of high profile lawyers Mr. Small kept his composure throughout the trial seemingly assured of an acquittal which did not come through. In the end he labelled probably the best JUDGE in Guyana as political.
Lots of praise for the Juror which believed the testimony of Simone De Nobrega despite her own devils and the defense attempt to make her seem as a person without credibility.
In the end this brave woman despite exposing her own past to scrutiny sought Justice for Neesa as she said since she is a "Mother".
She is my "Mother" of the Month for March. May God bless her.

There you go, right to back to square one.
You can't see the states lending a hand to children.

The way the system works and the way you want it to work appears incongruous. Hence we are duty bound to take care of the children before they become part of the system. No system can be fool proof. No system will act to protect us 100% of the time. Same here...the DPP was investigating.

“Sir, when you directed the jury you could have done a little more in my favour.â€
She noted that the Minister of Home Affairs, Clement Rohee, had visited the prison twice when she was incarcerated.
What is the honorable minister doing visiting her twice? Like he was double dipping too?
See the woman is accustomed to having 'favours' done. She even asked the judge for one.

My sympathy goes out to children more than anyone else in the world because children have no one to guide and protect them. The parents don't know anything about parenting and can't see lending their child a hand to develop, because they themselves are undeveloped, and in turn, the system cannot see lending a hand to protect children either.
In the home, the idea is that children are to develop themselves, and in society, nobody want to hear from children and throw stones at parents who do wrong, which is of no protection to children. The children have to be harmed before anything is done.
Yet instead,
The system is firmly set up to protect money and goods like Fort Knox.

This was not a case of under-development...this was a case of complete abandon of moral judgment and maternal instincts. She murdered her husband so that she can hook up with mr. small who in turn saw the desperation in her and exploited the child, knowing that she will accept anything for a roll in the sack.
She will have plenty of time to sleep on this now.
I was so lucky to have a mother like mine....so very lucky. Thank you mom.

Well said.
But it is a case of underdevelopment because you have to be underdeveloped to abandon moral judgment and take advantage of desperateness.
