For decades, the Caribbean community has been bobbing and weaving the integration issue. Caricom was formed to resolve this issue, however, the level of progress is dissapointing, to say the least. There have been many treaties and agreements, however, the problem is that there are constant breaches of these treaties and agreements, which serves to sour relationships between the involved parties. I am wondering if there will ever be a fully integrated Caribbean Community.

there is a west indian..as opposed to caribbean..nation explorex. but its current leadership since the break up of the federation to now are hired to block its codification and development not to foster it.
the mistake most commentators make is to blame our separation on the attitude and insularity of the west indian people. wrong. it is the west indian elites under the direction of ole marse from a'far who work actively to keep the west indian nation apart
but they have something going or themselves doh. they have the money and the regional freedom to enjoy the region as their own from the top down.
travel through the west indies is very expensive..beyond the ability of most or all ordinary west indians. it is no problem to them..our elites. and when they arrive at regional customs they are waved through. they do not have to line up as we do when we manage to travel in the region to be poked and searched and examined by extraordinarily intrusive customs officials.
they make no effort apart from cricket to get the west indian people in position to get to know each other. they make relations between the west indian people harder and harder...leaving such relations to hostile efforts like vast illegal immigration into Titty because Titty has oil money.
but that is a police action that cause all manner of stress and strain on all sides. Titty could set up immigration targets based on its employment needs and allocate to each west indian territory some portion of that need
oh well

The federation is long dead. Jamaica will answer to no one.

I think a loose association already exists. Anything more is certainly not required.
