My children are all baptized Catholics. Of the three, only one is practising the faith. The other two just don't go to church. That's fine, it's what's in their heart that counts.
I haven't gone to church regularly in a while, since the scandal. I was disappointed and disillusioned with the church heirarchy. But in my heart I do what needs to be done, or at least, I try to.
When I die, I will probably go to hell along with all my other devout friends. We will have a ball with the milk and honey and I will try to sneak in some Jose Cuerva.

exactly....why does it matter Ketch?
I went to Sunday school until I was 9 years old
I went to Mandir for several years with my best friend
I always went to Madrasa
my mom nor any of my siblings did not have any problems with that
I am still a Muslim with a knowledge of other religions......which makes me a very tolerant person

Ketch....you are looking for trouble where there is none
my son married a Catholic......and he has no baptism paper
since our Catholic schools are publicly funded.....anyone can attend.....as long as they are willing to participate in the religions teachings at the school
listen....I know very strong Muslim people who chose to send their kids to Catholic school because it is a known fact that these schools produce much better results than the public schools

Surely you cannot also be an expert on inter religion marriage , after all you experienced inter national marriage , Guyanese ... you and Trini .. spouse , failed marriage . Your expertise therefore in inter religion marriage is suspect .
You might be more of an expert in divorce

i had mentioned to my mother that i do not want to teach my baby religion right away.
she almost had a stroke - she was saying i have to bring the baby up in islam etc etc...
but I dont want to introduce 'differences' to the child right away...when i was growing up me and my friends didnt know differences existed between us all...we just wanted to play and havve fun.
i want my kid to enjoy that for as long as possible...and i want them to love humanity first before i start injecting religion to them. plus they dont understand it until much later in life.
