When responding to my posting ..tell the truth or shut the hell up . I grew up in Trinidad during such times in the early 1950's , I fought your ilk.
I have two bullet wounds and a cutlass chop on my leg that came from your ilk . Thats when our Indian village went wild on Africans. We were a quiet cane farming village , you ilk came in and began the aggressive behaviour , give me some money . buy me a bottle in the rum shops.

Your Ilk didnt want a ROTI Prime Minister.

Badhase RIP , stood up for Indians . Eric Williams used our tax payers money to fund only Roman Catholic schools would not fund any other religion.

Badhase started the Mahaba Saba schools with his own money . ASJA schools started by prominent muslims with their money .

Badhase got his money by getting contracts from the Americans who were building two bases in Trinidad . Where was he a gangster ?

Chadee and The attorney General are NOT related ..a blatant lie.

So from "Tooks" and "Bull" in the North to Dole, Zimmern Beharry and Mantoor Ramdhanie in Central/South, the new breed criminal was not necessarily a "bad john". His weapon defined his space. And his victims.Besides living by the law of the jungle, in which might was right, in communities throughout the country, they also engendered a widespread breakdown in family life (what bad john-worth-his-‘wedger’ would have less than 10 ‘sets’ of children?) and children-sans-values.

Indians didnt have 10 sets of kids with no fathers .

Such sub-human behaviour was not confined to North Trinidad. Do we really believe the Joey Ramiahs and Dole Chadees emerged from religious sanctums where only good prevailed, but they somehow turned evil? Crap!
Harlem, Caroni, La Brea , Lavantille has had a long history of very violent men.

Mano Benjamin, was a diabolical man who was criminal in the extreme. People like them existed in the very districts where, generations later, they have spawned "Rambo" versions of their earlier incarnations.

The Poolools became the most notorious because they were the "baddest". Brothers Raffick and Joe never backed off from a challenge, and never hesitated to liquidate anyone who stood in their way.
The POLICE were their intended target . What race ran the POLICE service ?.

The Poolools Bros would have shoot out with Police Stations .  The old Caroni Police Station, a wooden structure (it still stands, but it's now repaired) bore bullet holes aplenty-all put there by the Poolools. I know because I saw them.

Everyone wanted everything they saw on television, and if it could not be had because they did not have the means to purchase them, then they’d turn a blind eye if "de boy jus’ bring a TV home’. The deprived felt it their right to claim by whatever means what they could not acquire by hard work.

Check out Debe , hardworking Indian town of farmers . Your Ilk from Laventille went through Debe  to the beach in Los Iros . They didn't pay for anything they took from the locals .
On the way back the locals put the barrier down at the  train line stopped the two buses and beat them all . Your Ilk ran the 3 miles to San Fernando for the police.

Eric Williams ran T&T since Independence 1962 , till he killed himself . Kamal Mohamed was next in line to lead the PNM . Oh no they put Duncy Chambers as leader , he died then Manning. For twelve years we have had alternative governments , ANR , Panday and Kamla .Name the Indians leaders in todays PNM or Eric and Mannings.

They say we are only as good as our leaders . How many years did your ilk lead the country .

O'Halloran stole from the Government of Eric Williams  and built shoppping centers in Toronto .
Hart stole from Manning an lives in Miami with millions .

Do you see Indians being killed daily , NO its the members of your ilk over the last year have lost the next generations of young men .Easy money and they want bling .

Violence in schools is nothing new. The difference today is a much bigger student population, many more schools in more communities, and values in the society as a whole that has led us to this sorry pass.
In fact, in the "bad old days" of the "leather-strap-soaked-in-pee", those very teachers and headmasters were exemplars in schools and in communities where they lived.

So this end-time violence we are witnessing is not something confined to Trinidad and Tobago. And we are not the "kidnapping capital" of the world.
Whatever we may choose to think, and much of our thinking on the subject is coloured by politics, our crime wave is not isolated, or, in fact, alien, to this country.

"Badjohnism" in places like Laventille, La Brea  is nothing new. Some of those who today call themselves "elders" know well that in their ranks, and among those around them, there are many of the "godfathers" of today's violent breed.

One who was for many years considered the most "advantageous" person in the district, coming out to condemn the youths. Here was a man who would beat innocent people to a pulp only because he was strong and people, at least then, were afraid of him.

Now, because some 18-year-old will think nothing of pumping some bullets in his diseased body, he has turned "angel".

He is but one of a long list of bullies and criminals who ruled Port of Spain in a most vicious manner for decades. Think Rudolph Charles and you think Desperadoes and great pan music. But think of Rudy with the hammer. Indeed, on many a not-so-stupid-man. Think "Gold Teeth", think "Bolong", think "Utah Blaine -I can go on and on and on.

But to what end? To say that East Port of Spain was always a "cursed" district when it came to violence? What about the West, where the notorious Boysie Singh ruled on both land and sea?
Boysie was so "bad", the body count of those he made "walk the plank" in the Gulf remains a mystery to this day.

There were sundry others, some of whom are still alive, who were as murderous if not as notorious as Boysie, who often combine their "badjohnism" with bullying lesser mortals.
I should note here that most "bad johns" of yesteryear could hand-fight.

The seeds of inequity and barbarism were sowed many moons ago. Today we reap their bitter fruits with a frightening backlash.

In future do some research instead of babble . Dont look foolish .

5 things to know about Selwyn 'Robocop' Alexis

BY: LOOP NEWS
12:20, July 18, 2016
102135 VIEWS

The death of Chaguanas businessman Selwyn ‘Robocop’ Alexis in a shootout on Sunday has led to fears by many over possible reprisal killings and more bloodshed within the Enterprise, Chaguanas area.

The Chaguanas businessman was killed in a violent shootout at his Enterprise business place on Sunday afternoon along with two other men, while one child was seriously injured.

Another man, said to be the assailant and identified as Thomas Sharpe, aka 'Hamza', of Walters Lane, Bhagaloo Street, Enterprise, was also killed.

A third man, Kevin Escayg, also of Enterprise who was a customer and friend of Alexis, was also shot and killed.

His five-year-old son was critically wounded and is receiving treatment at hospital.

Two other suspects were apprehended by police for questioning.

Alexis, 52, was well known by police and has had numerous encounters with the law in years past.

Here are 5 things to know about the former businessman:

1. Sources say Alexis had an altercation with a rival gang within the area, which may have led to his death on Sunday.

This is the second attempt on his life; the first occurred in 2009 when his then-three-year-old daughter was shot.

2. Alexis has had numerous charges raised against him, many of which were dismissed:

Numerous Charges of Kidnapping Indian Businessmen in Trinidad were dismissed ..the witnessness were killed
before the trial .

2016: Alexis and his 25-year-old son were charged with participating in a gang riot at Crown Trace, Enterprise, as part of ongoing gang wars.

2010: Alexis and his wife were charged with receiving stolen arc welders. In the same year, he was charged with assaulting a police officer during a confrontation in 2008.

2009: Alexis and two other men charged with kidnapping Imtiaz Khan as well as charges of armed robbery and being in possession of a stolen truck with cargo worth over $2 million. Alexis and the other two men were found not guilty after his defence attorney argued that the officer who laid the charges did not have enough evidence to charge them.

2008: Alexis and two others were charged with perverting the course of public justice, after claims they tried to deter a State witness from providing evidence in the 2009 kidnapping case. He was also pinpointed as a suspect in the 2008 murder of 48-year-old Vincentian national Vincent Simmons, who was shot dead on Nimblett Street in Enterprise, Chaguanas.

2007: Alexis and three other men were found not guilty of kidnapping a Sangre Grande jeweler, after a state witness refused to give evidence.

2002: Alexis was charged with extortion after an arrest by the Anti-Kidnapping Squad and charges of demanding money from Deonanan Ramdial using threats in May of that year. The case was dismissed after the victim then claimed he did not know Alexis.

3. Alexis owned a grocery and car wash at his Freedom Street, Enterprise, Chaguanas address. He also owned a contracting company.

4. He also rented a luxurious multimillion-dollar apartment at One Woodbrook Place and was arrested by police at the apartment after questions arose regarding ownership of the apartment, his rental arrangement and his sources of income.

5. In 2003 Alexis was accused of kidnapping San Fernando businessman Saran Kissoon, however he was freed after the State’s main witness, Kevin Richards, was found dead in a Longdenville pond, weighted down with rocks.

ANOTHER relative of slain gang leader Selywn “Robocop” Alexis was killed on Sunday.

Brother Mervyn Alexis died from bullets to the chest and neck.

At around 9 p.m. Mervyn Alexis was at the family's mini mart at Freedom Street, Enterprise when he was shot.

Alexis was taken to the Chaguanas District Health Centre where he succumbed to his injuries.

On November 24 Robocop's nephew Anton Mitchell, was at his home at Walter's Lane, when he allegedly attacked police officers with a firearm.

He was shot dead by the officers during an exchange of gunfire, police said.

Police said that Mitchell was the second in command of the “Unruly Isis” gang, and he was a nephew of reputed gang leader Selwyn Alexis, who was killed in Enterprise in July.

Selwyn Alexis was at his business place at Freedom Street when unknown suspects shot at him.  He died at the scene.

Two other men were killed in that shootout.

Perhaps the most perplexing aspect of AT&T Stadium, otherwise known as “Jerry World,” is the glare from the sun that bursts through the windows and shines directly onto the field. Time and time again the glare has impacted players’ visibility during games, yet Jerry Jones refuses to make any changes to account for the sun.

Rather than install curtains, Jones has previously said he feels it’s a home-field advantage to have that type of stadium factor impacting games. Well, the glare ended up benefitting the Chiefs early into Thursday’s Thanksgiving game, as a pass from Dak Prescott to George Pickens fell incomplete, at least in part due to the impact of the sun’s glare.
