Thanks Googs.
What grinds my gears is when I see some of these people recently cured of Ebola publicly thank "God" and not the doctors and scientists that actually saved their lives. What a bunch of ungrateful idiots.

But don't you just love "God logic"? If you believe "God" is responsible for curing you of Ebola then who is it that's responsible for the tens of thousands dying and dead in Africa of Ebola? ::LOL::

Ebola is a virus and occurs through body fluids like blood or, touching the persons body and it spreads. So need to be aware of any fluids passing from the infected ones, if caring for them or touching any of their items. The virus has no cure, and is spreading real fast and a lot of people have lost ones who they were close to and meant something to them. It is not a airborne virus and not spread by the wind carrying the virus from one person to another and causing harm which some think happens.

President Obama recently spoke to the nation about Ebola and discussed how his Administration is responding, and what you should know. He says the Ebola virus is a public health and national security priority, and that he has directed his Administration to continue to take aggressive measures at every level of government.
During his weekly address, he reiterated that, while Ebola is a serious disease, Americans need to understand the facts and be guided by the science: Ebola is not easily transmitted. And we know how to fight it.
On the WhiteHouse.gov web site, these facts were listed:
* Ebola is not transmitted through the air like the flu.
* According to public health authorities, the only way a person can get Ebola is by coming into direct contact with the body fluids (urine, saliva, sweat, feces, vomit, breast milk and semen) of someone who is already showing symptoms.
* If the person does not have symptoms, they are not contagious.
* Symptoms for Ebola include: Fever, Headache, Joint and muscle aches, Weakness, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Stomach pain, Lack of appetite, Abnormal bleeding.
* Symptoms may appear anywhere from 2 to 21 days after exposure to the Ebola virus though 8-10 days is most common.

LONDON (Reuters) - Trials of an experimental vaccine developed by the Canadian government and licensed to NewLink Genetics will begin swiftly in healthy volunteers in Europe, Gabon and Kenya, under a program with funding from the Wellcome Trust.
A $5 million grant from the medical charity will allow several global partners, overseen by the World Health Organization (WHO), to gather essential safety data for the so-called rVSV-EBOV vaccine.
The vaccine is already undergoing initial testing in the United States and is one of two to have been injected into people in clinical trials. The other, from GlaxoSmithKline, is also being tested in Europe and Africa.
Wellcome said on Wednesday that 335 volunteers would be vaccinated in total in the new trials, starting with 20 in Germany, followed by 100 in each of Gabon and Kenya, and then 115 in Switzerland.
Canada has donated 800 vials of the vaccine, which was developed by the Public Health Agency of Canada, to be used in the trials.
