american republicanism was promulgated in what 1804.  19 years later there was the Monroe Doctrine..declared by James Monroe..adding latin america as an american satrapy, warning europe to stay away.


by the 18 fifties america had joined up Britain, France and Germany in forcing Japan and China.


by 1898 america had begun its long road of supplanting europe as white world hegemon'..a process that was completed by the time Kissinger opened up China in behalf of the inetrnational bankers in the early 19 seventies.


there is little that can be said of good america has done for the rest of the world. 


if america disappears right now the world sighs relief..not longing for anything america has meant to the wordl during the past 200+ years

anyhow I would say this:  let him go see relevant critiques of american movement in the world since 1804 and compare them with FOIA releases. 


if he does not believe what the american government itself says it did then what would he believe...


it is obvious!  where their is coincidence between the secret papers and critiques, we have truth.


and as far as i know there is almost a 100% coincidence between what critics have concluded and what has been released by law, of american secret papers.


so instead of wasting time trying to convince this fella, let him go correct himself. its all there in the facts/archieves..and the books of the experts
