Mandela forgave and forgot the crimes committed against him.  I think that word is in the bible somewhere....

Forgave yes .. but I am sure that he didn't forget.  And don't forget that had he not changed, he would have rotted and died in prison.

Mandellas release was part of the conditions exacted from apartheid on their defeat by the Cubans/Angolans backed up by the Russians.

but by that time Mandella had already begun his own deal-making with western corporations.  he was moved from Robden island to luxurious jail conditions on the mainland.

Mandella and the ANC, the Communist Party, the Unions as COSATU and the  other umbrella..all of them were greedy, in haste,  to make deals for themselves at the expense of the people...as apartheid fell around their knees. 

the idea was to allow to come into being and empower it,  a small, rich, african elite, as adjunct to the corporations, through whom the nation would be controlled.  this class would be injected into the middle of the society between the people and the forriner..through which all would be run

allyuh dont want to accept the fact that MANDELLA WAS NOT A GOOD MAN, OR A MAN OF THE PEOPLE..NEVER WAS.  HE WAS AN AFRICAN PRINCE AND LIKE ALL ROYALTY HIS SENTIMENT WAS WITH THE RICH, HIS OWN CLASS...NOT THE PEOPLE.

Mandella was a good man for himself and for his class.  period!

sorry to spoil allyuh dreams but dreams are what they are.  the truth is the African people who suck salt now worse than under apartheid.  that's the truth..along with the fact that Mandella is chiefly responsible for that by betraying his people more completely than they were ever betrayed before.

and that is why the white man celebrate Mandella..the elite white man who owns all the media..who ordered same  media to spin lies about Mandella, to create the story of a saint and cloak a man with it, who was nothing but a devil

it is also likely that Mandella was put in jail to save him for the role he eventually played..as traitor.

the british had a long and evil  experience as colonist/colonizer.  they learned a whole lot in the process, developed very sophisticated ways and means to control the situation.  even the granting of 'independence' to colonies was part of a process of continued control and enslavement that is now well known.

it is also well know how they created their own 'independence leaders; jailed them to protect then and ensure that they became leaders when independence was granted.  we see the consequences of such policies currently.

it is very likely that even though a prince like Mandella had to fight apartheid.. he was always looked at favourably by apartheid because as leader he could be dealt with, expected to compromise in their favour because of who he was.

jail then was an investment in a man whose survival was insured in that way
