googs lee....THAT IS UTTER NONSENSE! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU..IN SOME KIND OF DREAM.
Sobers went to Rhodesia and noshed with Ian Smith like 45 years ago. Kanhai went like 35 years ago...Kalliecharran a little earlier. Ntini has come and gone...you mention Amla and prolly Philander they are now. but apartheid was done 20 freaking years ag...why are there not more playing for South Africa given that the whites are a small minority ::confused::
what sort of time frame does it take to produce quality black cricketers when there has always been something of an infrastructure to produce them. that is what such as Basil D'Ollieveira came out of. and even back in his day there were tons like him, many much better ::confused::
what has happened and happening is that white South is still in charge of the cricket and does not care at all to promote black players. they can promote and placate such as Amla who passes for white and privileged now in RSA..Amla who does not care about black people. they squeezed Prince out of the team..removed the captaincy from him..
and all of this social nastiness Googs here passes off under what appears to be 'take time, we must all wait as change takes time. we have had Ntini and more will come"
total bullshiite is what that is..apology for prejudice, the condoning of racism and sytems of exploitation and the promotion of the favoured.
the end of apartheid was supposed to produce a flood of opportunity and all manner of players coming into the South Africa side. nothing of the sort has happened...the opposite has happened. the old system is still in place. that is a consequence of Mandella/ANC betrayal. the white people still run things and have once again limited opportunity in cricket to the few
Googs always talks that kind of crap prejudicial thing. in 20 years all but 2 black men have played consistently for RSA... Prince and Ntini. a few others have made appearances. the others Duminy, Philander, Petersen are all mulatoes...half white people who do not count as blacks, who are clearly locked out

somebody tell me..how does a smattering of coaching as tokenism, 45 years ago by Sobers and Kanhai...and even if you want to include all of Rowes teams...lead to Ntini, Amla, prince and the rest ::confused::
allyuh see this googs lee!!! he is a most prejudiced fella that man. he is also set in the 18 century..not in the most progressive areas of current life.
Googs you are anachronistic, trying to support a disgusting South Africa system of prejudice still extant

World leaders bowed and prayed Wednesday before the flag-draped casket containing the body of Nelson Mandela, having a final look at the anti-apartheid icon in the amphitheater where he was sworn in 19 years earlier as South Africa's first black president.

Mandela said at his inauguration: "Out of the experience of an extraordinary human disaster that lasted too long, must be born a society of which all humanity will be proud."
