is Ford blue Ontario blood?
he is not!
is his politics traditional..Tory, Chow, Sewell of the old days, the Tiny Perfect mayor I forget his name, Art Eggleton kind of politics?
no it is not.
and the way he handles and distributes the pie surely threatens old money and their ties to the the business of the city government.
Ford is not one of them. Dalton McGinty at QP was/is...true Ontario elite. that is why he beat out the rest for he leadership of the provincial liberals and became premier. and that is why he was premier as he was a real SOB shafting the people as he went, but never socially rancid like Ford

Don't play coy Maps. You know very well it's a valid question. In fact, this topic was covered by the media very recently. It's one of the many quirks of Rob Fordism. Why a White ultra right wing politician like Ford resonates so much with Blacks?
Read the article below and the response to the Ford rethoric of "helping Blacks more than any other politician" from a Black man.

Maps, I cannot believe you have bought into this bullshtye that the Fords are not part of this ultra right wing Harperite Conservative. They are at their very core Haperites. Before Ford was caught with lying about his crack smoking adventures he and Harper would have BBQ's, golf trips, and fishing trips all the time. In fact, Hudac wanted Doug to be on board as an MPP if he had won the last Provincial elections.
You guys are so fcuking naive about the Fords. Anyways, y'all go ahead and elect them and enjoy getting taxed up your arses to pay for his subways.

you have to prove that it is a valid question snoops. I dont see that it is.
I knew several Somalis closely when I live in TO. they are very much like Arab people..totally unlike west Indians and other Africans. you imply and assume that they are fools but they are not like that in my experience at all.
you don't appear to understand the dynamic involved. it does not matter who they vote for they get nothing. playing games with Ford or other politicians doe not mean they are stupid. they are in a new country, works a different way it will take time for them to learn develop and get for themselves and so be able to act manly
you assume that they are fools..are being fooled but I can assure that they are not from direct experience. and why do you so assume ::confused::
you don't actually know them so you don't have a clue as to the veracity of what you claim. you are on the outside looking in and making assumptions that appear to be off base to me. be careful before you get accused of racism.

and your attitude to the Fords suggests that you are so hateful of them you are totally biased, unable even to see that I did not say Ford was not elite...but which elite.
Ford may an economic elite but he is clearly not part of the inner elite crowd of Ontario..the Upper Canada crowd with roots that go back to those expelled from the forming, revolutionary USA.
but you do a lot of assuming don't you?
who says I have bought into any dam thing you think I have bought into?
I don't care about the lot of them. I don't have the time to be detailed about them but I have methods of social analysis that keeps me abreast generally. when I need to be detailed I will be by study. I have my view of the world and you have an idea of what it is. everything I say comes from that perspective and it's expansion and development as I go.
I know where their collective interests lie..how they are bundled..the conditions under which such as they and such as the Fords and them may coalesce and work together for mutual benefit. but that does not mean they would welcome Ford as a son in law....

so you run away eh snoops....
I had to leave too. I am focused on woodbine race track tonight. this then is my last word...
I don't see that east Africans see themselves as black in the sense we know black in the west indies and in america. they do not have very much to do with black people who are not their own anyway. the sense I get is that they are not particularly amorous of black people generally.
they most certainly have little love and respect for west indians..Jamaican in particular...a real schism has opened up there. those people are more Arab than anything and are otherwise focused on the white community but not as lackeys. they are tight communities and support each other and their businesses. they work hard and are on the make. they are no different from Indos, Arabs etc in a new country and hustling.
I doubt very much they care about any playground any politician may build around them. it is not their country and none of them intend to stay where they are. they all intend to move up in society and will do so in time..and will move into neighborhoods with all the amenities.
and when they are established they will also get into politics and be have greater impact than west indians blacks because they will be able to elect people to the parliaments the way they congregate. and they will have money. so congregation and money will allow them to play
that's how I see the future of those people..all things being equal..that Canada continues to to go along, the world stays in one piece etc. that's how I have come to understand the little I know about east Africans.
it would be wrong to lump them into a generic term Black. they are Black... but not black like americans or west indians, english and canadians

Poor poor Mayor Ford!
He was so cracked up that he had to withdraw from the political race. I heard his brother was taking over his campaign. If his brother wins, then he can become Toronto's version of Billy Carter, the buffoon brother of President Carter. He and his crack-head sister can form a stage show. They could make money posting their antics on You Tube!
