Look at INDIA and this PIO/NRI concept !
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-resident_India...son_of_Indian_origin
During the 19th century and until the end of the British Raj, much of the migration that occurred was of poor workers to other British colonies under the indenture system. The major destinations, in chronological order, were Mauritius, Guyana, the Caribbean, Fiji, and East Africa.
African Americans would subscribe to something similiar ??
hell , NO !
whaddabout the common poor Folks in the Caribbean islands ?
a resounding NO !
so what exactly is Mapoui's CRUSADE ? :-\

very good TD.

. I did not intend to comeback but on a spur I did and here we are..with a very decent contribution indeed.
in Moby Dick Melville refers to the crew of the Pequod as an Anarcharsis Clootz deputation.......
well Clootz was the son of a rich man whop led revolutionary upsurges in europe..and to understand Melville's revolutionary perspective one must understand who Clootz was. he was a rich mans son with who particularly care was taken to give an education that would have prevented any such development in the child.
european rich of the city states used to do that..set up schools to ensure that their children would be properly schooled to come out gentlemen, prepared only to carry on the gathering of extreme wealth. but it did not always turn out that way....which adds to you explanation above. and the exceptions were the real deal like Anarcharsis
European history is studded with such examples. the last one of note was Anthony Wedgewood Benn who died recently. he was of the elite of the elite, who gave it all up. he lived a steadfast life on the left side of the ideological spectrum.
ketchim does not know what he is talking about...he is all emotion, a perfect jihadist

what about Frederich Engels, one of the most beautiful writers I have ever read..he and Freud. I really enjoyed reading those two..not all of their work..too much and not enough time.
Engels was a rich mans son..an industrialist whose money kept Marx going.

how many times have you not done that? how many times have you not referred to black people as "nigs nogs?" and called them their worst enemy? ::LOL:: ::LOL:: ::LOL:: ::LOL::
again i ask. why don't you comment on your white roots instead of just focusing on the plight of black people.

not at all...you dont know a dam thing. ::LOL:: ::LOL:: ::LOL::
why wud I attack the elite ::confused:: why would I cast it that way. why not attack the west indian rich, wealthy etc ::confused::
I speak of elites and bureaucracy because those are the accurate terms that encap the full meaning of the existential reality and offer to ordinary people easy means by which to grasp the social conditions/structures that exploit them
there are black people running the situation and yet the exploitation around which the fight existed, that gave rise of black leaders..which was supposed mitigate the exploitation, by that very black power they represented.. but did not.
exploitation grew worse, more comprehensive, brutal..a police state in fact has arisen manned by black police and directed by black leadership that kill ordinary folk regularly in the west indies...where the former direct colonialism did not
the fact is that we sprouted an elite class whose economic interest it has become to oppress the people..a development that exposes race/racism as not the fundamental active or precipitating force in social relations... but that class relations are
that is the point of my use of such terms. they are accurate in trying to represent reality. my use of such terms are not to convey any sense of crusade.
what the hell are you talking about ::confused::
you don't know what you are talking about. any sense of crusading intensity can only be added probably from your own sense of jihadism, relative to the Islamic situation in the world... and not from any such content in whatever I say... because I am not on any crusade and can convey none to you therefore.
I am what I am ideologically. people accuse me of racism, of being bigoted. but they are like you..cant read.
when I started posting I established clearly that there will be no resurgence of west indian cricket fortunes until their is social revolution and reconstitution of west indian society..that our subsequent cricket failure..like that of the various regional nation states... was a consequence of the failure of capitalist class society in the west indies..and that only social reform could once again re-energize west indian society, make it fit and functional again..like when we were roiling against colonialism and were successful in all we did, increasingly successful, energized by our proper justified struggle... but which struggle was aborted by elitist betrayal of the very movement, under Massa Day Done.
that there is class based social analysis..not race. I have always spoken that way..and only that way. but you don't understand. and sha la looney does not understand either. and this is her thread

well exactly! there were times jest was involved..and at times quite serious.
you have to try understand the difference between race and class as basic cause of precipitation of social action, behavior...one is fundamental and one is not..but the difference is slight since the rise of modern white racism.
there are areas of the struggle that be dealt with by and with ethnic centered movement. black people are remiss right there..badly so in most regions. I call for that..and that also is class based analysis.
but the overall situation can be solved only by social revolution that upends capitalism and replaces it with a popular democracy

“Pessimism of the intellect, optimism of the will!†- Antonio Gramsci
It's a bit like supporting West Indies cricket. The cause is irrational, the solutions are superficial, nobody heeds the lead of saviours (Chanderpaul?), few meaningfully support the cause, and making noise doesn't even get you rid of Otis Gibson fast enough.
But you gotta belieeeveeee. The alternative is apathy, nihilism or absurdism.

also...a major reason for starving the people is to ensure their concerns remain basic, immediate..equal to FOOD..and not concerned with ideological issues that would make them revolutionary.
that way they may have a food fight..or a riot for food. but a riot for food is one thing the elites love. they can shed much blood then release some food and the people who survive can go eat quietly.
but an ideological fight is another matter altogether..a fight for social change, to change the system. that means to the elite...their heads swinging in the sunlight separate from their bodies, from various hoists and hooks
