Not all fat is bad - a little in your diet helps the body absorb certain nutrients.

And fat can be a source of energy, also providing essential fatty acids and some vitamins -

such as vitamins A and D.

So which fats should you be eating more of and which should you look to reduce ?

NHS Choices click !

A balanced diet should contain more unsaturated fat than saturated fat :

such as that found in meat pies that retired hubby prepares for VB  ;)

cutting down on foods that are high in saturated fat is important as part of a healthy diet :

Such foods include, butter, lard, chocolate, cakes, pastries and meat products,

including sausages and BACON  that Soca hubby keeps frying in Kingston , Jamaica  ::LOL::

Natural trans fats are found at low levels in some foods, including meat and dairy products.

Artificial trans fats are made when oil goes through a process of hydrogenation !

Artificial trans fats can also be found in some processed foods, such as biscuits and cakes

and are sometimes used to give products a longer shelf life.

I dont know about lard..lard seems a good saturated fat...save what is fed to the animals who gave up their fat to make lard ::)

butter is nice too..from grass fed milk

chocolate in sweetened bars wrapped up in shiny paper and foil is poison.  cocoa/chocolate from cocoa beans dried in sunshine seems a perfect food

yet in all thisseems the culprit.  keep your arteries in good health and all thats in the blood will flow as they shud.

and for that to happen do not eat sugars at all..none of them in any sugar form.  if you want sweet eat ah mango, suck a joint of cane, eat ah orange...but doh eat cane sugar, or sugar derived from mango and orange.

don't eat no cooking oil from the shop.  doh eat no pastry and cake...

all ah dat will inflame arteries and render them unable to circulate blood in the body and cause heart attack and stroke.  so doh eat nutten dat cause inflammation and forget the nonsense about fat, high and low :-[

I don't agree with that cholesterol argument.  if the bad inflammatory foods are avoided the problems of bad cholesterol and arterial inflammation are solved
