The hate/venom we carry inside only ends up hurting the carrier, not the object of the hate. So, we forgive and let us, our "burden" is minimized and we get to enjoy a life with less load/stress, etc.
So when one forgives someone else, it is the forgiver who benefited!

Yes. There IS innocence and guilt.
Your argument is that the parents are to be honored no matter what.
Well, the universe disagrees with you, because parenting is the key to the life system and we reap what we sow. My great grandmother I couldn't go anywhere near. When I was a little girl, if I moved too close to her she'd swing her cane at me. And my grandmother, she never once uttered my name. The only name I recall her addressing me with was: Little Bastard. And I'm sorry, but I do not honor my grandparents. I don't hate them, but I don't honor them either. I cannot forgive what my grandmother did to my mother.

Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

If not honoring them makes you a better person then by all means don't!

I don't know if not honoring them makes me a better person, I just feel like I have to do what I gotta do. And I feel like I gotta notice everything for not what I want it to be but for what it is.
