Had I experienced what you did , I would just not dwell on it !

I know friends who grew up with step parents.

Being called names pales in comparison to being molested by a step dad !

Incest is another vicious act by fathers on daughters.

These are unforgiveable !

but pattycake , your punishment does NOT fit the crime !

calm dung...forget all of that.  the whole point on my argument is You are responsible of how you react.

so they left you and did not buy milk, etc. 
but do you become just like them and abandon them without milk in their old age because the did that to you when you were little? 

which set of actions you as an individual have control over?  yours or theirs?

would it not be better if you elevate yourself and not repeat what they did? 

The universe itself issues the payouts.

There's another term for it.

It's called cause and effect.

I never see myself as a victim, no matter what the situ. I am me, an insignificant speck in the realities of the world. Why should I wear any badge, much less one of a victim? I am not saying that anyone isn’t or is a victim, but I choose not to be a victim of situ or circumstance. I am me after all!
My humanity compels me to appreciate, and be compassionate to my fellow travelers. My upbringing instilled a deep love, respect and affection for my fore-parents, and parents, my friends, my neighbors, and even the eventful stranger who wanders my way.
Yes I was given much….much too much, and for that I am eternally grateful.

Desiderata :

Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune

But do not distress yourself with imaginings.

Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. 

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.
Be careful.
