The Berbice Dharam Shala: A place filled with abandoned Parents

Whatever floats your boat pattycake. I would be the last to tell someone how they should feel/think about anyone in their life.
I don't know anything about your situation, and my take on life is very different - not that it matters.

Chair, no one dismissing PC feelings or doubting her statements.  there are all kind of people/parents in this world....good ones, bad ones, ones who never wanted to be parents, etc.

the real matter is what we as individuals feel about that.  do we behave just like the people before us or do we be ourselves and let go of any hard feelings of our we were treated?

In my opinion,

People who feel they gotta honor bad parents are poor parents themselves with an attitude that their children owe them for simply being brought here. Such a mindset leads to abandoned parents in the long run, because realistically, children don't ask to come here. So they are not indebted to the reckless behavior of their parents. They are in fact victims.

I don't know anything boat floating. I just know that I need my mind and faculties to be as attuned to reality as possible. I believe that the universe is correct, and I do my very best to align myself with it.

I have to bite my tongue and hold my fingers here...you sure you know how pata will feel, right?

whose right is it to punish people their sins?  If indeed its their sins in the first place.

again, it is your place to make them pay?  Are you now god? 

how do you know that it was not destined to be that way and it because of YOUR actions in the past that it played out that way? 

What you are looking at is the tip of the iceberg and the story from one side of the coin.  remember, the coin has 2 sides!
