no, actually religion is being proved to be right by the new discoveries each day! It is Science which keep self correcting! ::LOL::
I bet you $10 that the science you knew when you were in high school is much different today!

How many times must I tell you guys one simple yet unalterable fact. Religion starts with the proposition that it has all the answers - to everything. Science starts with the opposite proposition and has developed a methodology to ensure (as much as possible) that both the evidence and conclusions are reliable, accurate and correct. If the conclusions are incorrect, science wipes the slate and starts over.
Religion moves from conclusion to evidence. Science moves from evidence to conclusions.
And I challenge you Googs to name me ONE, just ONE, phenomena which Religion supposedly got right and which science has "proven" subsequently.
As for your assertion that the science I knew in high school is different from the science I knew today. Well, this is such a juvenile and ignorant statement it hardly calls for an answer (let alone a dignified answer) but I'll indulge you this one time.
The last time I checked the following scientific facts and conclusions are still the same as they were in the early 90's: the earth is still spherical; the earth orbits the sun; the Newtonian Laws of universal gravitation are still the same; the theory of evolution is still the best explanation for the millions of fossils of dinosaurs and other mammalian primates unearthed each year; insulin still works the same now and in the early 90's as it did in 1922 when it was discovered by Doctors Banting and Best and without which diabetes would still be a killer disease; the mapping of the human genome and genetics is still the same as it was in the early 90's; to name a few.
This is not to say or assert that science provides the final answer to anything or everything. That is the conceited claim of religion which it makes without reservation. Science merely asserts that it is able to provide the best answer to a given phenomena based on the observation and testing of the available evidence. As such, science will always be a work in progress, continualing refining it's conclusions as the evidence calls for it to do so.

Where is the evidence for the existence of this "Christ"? Where is the evidence of his alleged trial, conviction, and torture? And no, the Bible is not evidence. It was written, re-written, edited, re-edited, re-written again, hundreds and thousands of years after the life of its subject matter was supposed to have lived.
Absent evidence of the foregoing, it is incumbent upon rational thinking beings to reject all of it in its entirety.
Extraordinary claims requires extraordinary evidence.

You should be thankful I've finally brought some proper and coherent arguments to a thread dedicated as it were to your crumbling faith in the words and teachings of an illiterate Arabian used carpet salesman cum con man.

Which "folks"? Most here are agreeing with my views on religion and its absurd propositions.
Even you are beginning to waiver. Just look at this thread. It is patently obvious that you're looking for affirmation and vindication of your religious faith from others who share it. I'm only too happy to be the one to sow that seed of doubt.
