Maps, you really need to break up your prose in smaller portions.  It's too much in one place to be able to really pay the attention one should pay.


Read the first part, and agree with just a little bit of what you say.  Haven't read the second part but it seems that you have made yourself sad.  Don't.

final comment:

religion addresses fear..gives humanity confidence and comfort in a horrific universe.  so it may follow that if humanity develops great and on-going capability in existence, a form of massive life skills and great individual survival by longevity.  the knowledge and confidence such development would provide would make religion moot
almost all children who are born in advanced countries now live.  the confidence of children in our times is far greater than at any time in our previous history.  strong levels of child confidence is being evinced earlier and earlier,in some cases almost from day one.

as humans tame nature and launch into the universe, develop speeds we have discovered that is faster than light speed..when doctors can regrow limbs and heal wounds and breakages immediately, travel to other planets ...what kind of impact would that have on human confidence..and the knowledge behind doing all that..have on mystery, religion ::confused::

exactly.  religion could then exist only at the edge of the known of general science..and then only if it satisfies the principles of the known.  it would be nonsense if it did not satisfy the principles of the known so no one would pay attention.

religion is doomed to die a natural death if it cant prove it god and its doctrine..and loses its social power to compel people  to believe, and to shut down truth that proves its principles to be pointless.

don't confuse bad religious practices with religion.  After all, this is why God gave people brains...so they can think for themselves and not follow like sheep!

true googs!  so I don't need religion..for what I have seen of them all is that they are bad.  I have not experienced any aspect of religion in my life that was positive.I have searched but there is not much to search of direct experience because I left religion early

you know where I found some real spirituality...what I consider to be real spirituality..in music...classical music of Beethoven in particular...but also in Fransz Joseph Haydn..in Handel but not in Mozart.

those 3 classical composers..the first 2 were black men...were all strong men of faith and what I think I feel in their music is their sincerity of belief. now these were all men in courts of royalty and were no strangers to the nature of humanity. 

they knew human evil but they focused on their work and put into it what they actually felt, believed, but well hidden by substituting words and playing with notes...like Beethoven using 'Joy' instead of freedom in putting Von Schiller's words to music in the ninth symphony.  Beethoven was careful to avoid betraying revolutionary thought in his music less he be seriously circumscribed by his royal patrons

but Beethoven's music was/is revolutionary in every sense of the term revolutionary..and spiritual, god like.  that is where I am taken every time I hear the music of these composers. that is one reason I look to much and art often because there is where you can hear and see things that are real but not expressed in words..in music in particular

there is something in life that I cant put my finger on.. nor do I want to...something of spirit.  its in a lot of the music I posted up before...in Chaka Khan, in Phyllys Hyman, in Keisha Cole.

I heard it a few times in Indian music but not Bollywood Indian music.  that is canned music.  you have to go into India..real India to get Indian music now. 

sometimes Bollywood gets close..like a piece I had posted up for a long time..a theme from a Spike Lee Joint. that was really good.  at a point in that theme the musicians achieved a syncopated flow that entranced. for about 25 seconds they were god itself..the same thing you can hear in Chaka khan or in Beethoven.

but I cant call it god.  I don't know what it is but it is extraordinary..spiritual...yes! 

it can be in church inspired music like classical music which all came out of a very religious age.  I have have heard very pretty american Gospel music but that like Bollywood is now canned, even if at times it can get close again to its roots

but religions as they exist and carry on are the opposite of any spirituality I sense.  religion originally was off the people, by the people for the people.  they were captured by the kings and made state religions and corrupted from end to end.  that is the nature of the religions we have inherited.. ALL OF THEM..CHRISTIANITY, ISLAM, HINDI/HINDU..BUDDHISM..NO EXCEPTION...ALL OF THEM ARE TOP DOWN ELITIST CONSTRUCTIONS THAT WORK IN THE INTEREST OF THE RICH AND EVIL DOMINEERING SOCIAL SYSTEMS IN THE WORLD

the people must take back world religions in this modern age, strip them of the created corruption,  see their original source and keep and reform them or toss them if they are now spent and empty, creating new and relevant forms of religion if they believe they need and want religion.  religion is at once a public and private thing, and in both instances no oligarchical and hierarchical administrations are needed.  i.e no popes and ayatollahs, no archbishops and imams, no reverends and bishops.  if a belief cannot exist on its own with popular, leaderless gatherings of celebration and worship, and individual adherence, at locations of peoples own choosing,  then it is a religion that is not of the people but for the people in the sense of social control..constructed by others to lead the people to hell
